Encore The Frozen Logger
Comments Total time [2:15:05 +]. If the structure of this show was the same as on 6/5/70, then the acoustic set opened the evening, followed by sets from Southern Comfort and NRPS with Garcia on pedal steel, and then the Dead closed out the evening with their electric set (SET 2).

Don't Ease Me In through Swing Low Sweet Chariot are acoustic; for the rest of the first set Garcia plays electric guitar & Weir acoustic. David Nelson plays mandolin on Cold Jordan and Swing Low, and he and Marmaduke contribute backup vocals. Before Cumberland Blues Garcia says "we're gonna do a few semi-electric numbers. We've got a million new labels." There is a short cut at 2:48 of Cumberland. Marmaduke adds backup vocals to Me And My Uncle.During the Cryptical Reprise Jam Hunter is heard off mic raving away. During the pause after the Teddy Bear's Picnic Tease Garcia says "We're waiting aound till a good idea comes up" and Weir remonstrates with someone in the audience requesting "Golden Road." Someone adds quasi-intelligible additional vocals to the opening of Cosmic Charlie. The encore is according to Rob Eaton; it does not appear on the circulating copies of the tapes.
