Comments | Elvin Bishop plays guitar on the tunes listed in Set One. Checkin Up On My Baby features his vocals. There is a brief cut in Checkin Up On My Baby at around 2:05. It is not clear from the circulating tapes whether the 48-minute Lovelight was part of the same set as the rest of the material. This is probably the longest Lovelight ever played and certainly the longest in circulation. Jeff Cotsman suggests that this is the show McNally mentions at this venue in '69 where Jerry was too dosed to play. If this is the case then maybe we should also consider whether the Lovelight listed here in fact belongs to 6/8/69 and the Lovelight there, without Garcia or Pigpen, and with Bishop and Ceballos, and the two Ceballos tunes, in fact belong to 6/6. The tapes of Dire Wolf, Dupree's Diamond Blues, and Mountains Of The Moon in circulation mislabeled "6/6/69" are all from 6/7/69. See the Note On Fillmore West June '69 in the Comments for 6/5/69.
