Comments This tape was mastered on a Uher reel-to-reel machine by sociology professor Charles Lemert. SET 1 is NRPS w/ Garcia, pedal steel, SET 2 is electric Dead. The tape is obviosly incomplete. This is a uniquely bad -- a hilariously bad job of audience taping. At one point there is an announcement that the first aid station has eyedrops for people still smarting from teargas at a demonstration that afternoon in New Haven; the tape ends with a speaker urging participation in the next day's nationwide protests against the Viet Nam War. The end of the Good Lovin' Jam features Phil soloing with the drummers. Bobby plays acoustic on New Speedway. There is a striking little jam in Lovelight from 16:00 - 17:24 that somewhat resembles the Martian Blues in Playin In The Band 14:15 - 15:20,, Cow Palace 12/31/76.
