Comments | Total time [2:13:48]. Jerry plays acoustic guitar during Dupree's and Mountains, switching to electric just short of 2 minutes into the following Jam. The beginning of Hard To Handle is clipped on the circulating tape, which also has a cut, probably brief, 5:30 into the Cryptical reprise. The Eleven analyzes ... St. Stephen > (1) 1st vocals 1:11 ... ... The Other One > Eleven Jam 3:02 > Eleven vocals 0:40 > Eleven Jam 4:08 > Eleven 2nd theme Jam 1:01 > transition 0:13 > It's A Sin. Just before Cryptical Envelopment and again before Alligator Bobby noodles the opening chords of Weather Report Prelude. In the pause after It's A Sin Jerry asks the audience "What do you want to hear that lasts 10 minutes" -- obviously he'd just been told by the Avalon's stage manager that they had 10 minutes left on the set. The following sequence beginning with Alligator runs 19:56, mostly on the strength of a monumental passage of Feedback. Perhaps this has a bearing on the stage manager's draconian behavior in unplugging the Dead the following night during Viola Lee.
