| Comments | There are brief difficulties with the PA during Cold Rain which occur again at the beginning of the first attempt at Mama Tried and bring it to a halt. After a pause for repairs they start this tune over. Hard To Handle cuts off near its conclusion on the master, as does Dancin. Lovelight cuts in near its beginning. The Jam in fast 8s interpolated into That's It is extraordinary. A third guitarist sits in, and also someone on keyboards, and someone on congas (starting from during the first drums). Plainly the four-show run at Fillmore West with Miles Davis inspired an extra measure of adventure. The old partial DeadBase list and also a more complete list supplied by Rob Eaton have a China Cat > Rider before Mama Tried but these don't show up on the circulating tape and may be erroneous.
