This is NOT the same song as the Standing On The Corner from the Loesser musical Most Happy Fella. Nor is it the Jimmie Rodgers song Blues Yodel #9 (Standing On The Corner).

If it is a Grateful Dead song then it's possible that Willy Legate contributed lyrics. Garcia said the following in an interview in 1976.

"Willy Legate is this guy who's an old, old friend of me and Hunter's and Phil's ... He also even wrote some lyrics to some of our early songs before we started recording, but we've subsequently stopped doing the tunes."
